Mark Tackmann – Managing Partner

Mark has over 26 years of experience in public accounting and worked with Gelman previously. He rejoined the firm after spending 17 years as a Partner with two Orange County-based CPA firms where he was instrumental in growing the strategic advisory services, shaping the client-centric service models, and using advanced technology to streamline and enhance the clients' experience. He is adept at strategic business planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial analysis, and integrating both tax and assurance services to provide customized client solutions and advice. Mark has worked extensively with companies in the manufacturing, distribution, construction, and real estate industries with annual revenues ranging from $10 million to over $1 billion.

Mark is also an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is on the board of directors for the Construction Financial Management Association.

Outside the office, Mark enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and friends, and watching his kids compete in their primary sports of swimming and soccer.

Larry Kane - Partner

Larry is a Partner and Chairman of Gelman LLP. He has over 43 years of experience in audit, accounting and tax planning, and business consulting. He oversees the firm’s audit and accounting practice and serves as an engagement partner for audit, accounting, and tax clients. He services clients in construction and home building, manufacturing, real estate development, and property management, and Corporate, partnership, and individual tax planning.

Larry is an accomplished speaker and instructor. He conducts numerous training seminars for local and national construction trade associations including AGC, CFMA, SUASC, ECA, SCCA, and CPMCA; educating their members as to the unique accounting and tax issues facing the construction industry. Larry has also been a contributing author of numerous articles for various construction publications.

Outside of the office, Larry enjoys sports! He used to be a participant, but now he is just a fan. He loves the Packers, Badgers, Ducks, and Angels – in that order.

Jay Donovan – Partner

Jay is the Partner-in-Charge of Tax Services at Gelman LLP. He has more than 35 years of public accounting experience, including Big 4 and Fortune 100 experience. He utilizes a broad range of problem-solving skills to serve closely-held, entrepreneurial businesses and their owners in real estate, construction, manufacturing, distribution, publishing, and service industries. Jay works with clients in the areas of wealth creation and preservation, leveraging tax-efficient strategies. Chris Strong - Partner

Chris has over 40 years of experience working with closely held businesses and their owners including manufacturing, distribution, service industries, and real estate.

Lisa Green – Partner

Lisa has been with Gelman since 1995 – she has over 25 years of experience working with closely held, rapidly growing companies. She serves as a resource to clients in a multitude of industries with a focus in the construction industry and employee-owned companies. She helps clients navigate the ever-changing environment of financial reporting, quality and internal controls, employee benefit plans, and employee stock ownership plans (ESOP). She also consults with clients on various federal and state tax issues.
